  • Noise Notification: Meatstock - Friday 1 May 2026
    Please be advised Sydney Showground will host Meatstock on Friday 1 May from 4pm to midnight.

    Also note there may be intermittent noise on Thursday 30 April due to sound testing.

  • Lake Belvedere Footbridge temporary closure – Tuesday 28 April 2026
    Bridge upgrade works for the Lake Belvedere footbridge will commence on Tuesday 28 April and are expected to be completed by Friday 1 May (weather permitting). The footbridge near the Australia Avenue entrance will be closed to the public for the duration of the works.

    Pedestrians and cyclists are encouraged to consider alternative routes around this area whilst the footbridge is closed. 

  • On Exhibition: Department of Education Review of Environmental Factors for the Newington Public School Update

    The planning application, known as a Review of Environmental Factors (REF), for Newington Public School upgrade is on public exhibition on the NSW Planning Portal for Division 5.1 (Part 5) Activities from Wednesday 15 April 2026 to Tuesday 5 May 2026.

    To view the plans, visit the Part 5 planning panel at edu.nsw.link/NewingtonPS-REF. If you wish to make a submission, please do so by the exhibition closing date, 5 May 2026.

  • Trains running to changed timetable
    On Sunday 26 April 2026 trains on the T7 Olympic Park line with run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency.
