  • Concord West Playground – partial closure
A section of the Concord West Playground in Bicentennial Park (as shown below) is currently closed while maintenance works are carried out to help keep the area safe for everyone to enjoy.

These works are expected to be completed around mid 2026. We appreciate your understanding while this work takes place.

  • Ausgrid Planned Power Outage – Blaxland Riverside Park & Newington Armory
Ausgrid have scheduled a planned power outage affecting Blaxland Riverside Park, Armory Wharf and Newington Armory from 7am to 8pm on Saturday 30 May 2026.

During this time, some facilities will be unavailable:

    • Amenities will be closed, though temporary toilets will be provided for visitors
    • The water features and water play area at Blaxland Riverside Park will be closed for the day
    • Water bubblers and BBQs won’t be in operation

If you’re planning a day out, Bicentennial Park, Wentworth Common and the Aquatic Centre will remain open as usual and make for great alternative spots to enjoy the precinct.
