Traffic changes on Herb Elliot Avenue

Preparations continue for the arrival of two tunnel boring machines (TBMs) from Clyde to Sydney Olympic Park in mid-2024. Another two TBMs are tunnelling from Rozelle and expected to reach Sydney Olympic Park during the second half of 2024. From July 2024, to support the arrival, traffic control will be in place to assist motorists, pedestrians and cyclists at entry and exit points to the construction site to maintain access and two-way traffic around the site.

To facilitate oversized machinery and equipment removal from site, the following traffic changes will be in effect:

  • A number of parking spaces have been temporarily removed on Herb Elliott Avenue and will be reinstated on Thursday 16 September 2024.
  • A stop/slow traffic arrangement will be in effect on Herb Elliott Avenue from 8pm to 5am Sunday to Friday.

Please contact Sydney Metro on 1800 612 173 or by email (metrotunnelsGLC@transport.nsw.gov.au) if you have any questions, complaints or would like to provide feedback about the work.
