Swimming Intensive Program
Swimming is an essential skill for all children; help your child become safe and confident in the water.
Week 1: Monday 6 July – Friday 10 July
Week 2: Monday 13 July – Friday 17 July

Swimming is an essential skill for all children; help your child become safe and confident in the water with one of our fully qualified Austswim instructors. Give your child the confidence to get to the next level in swimming.
Programs:
Learn to Swim - Preschool and School Age
Cost:
Week 1: 5 days: $115.00
Week 2: 5 days: $115.00
- These are available between 8 am - 12 pm (half hour classes)
- An excellent alternative for those who cannot attend regular weekly lessons during the term.
- An excellent tool to assist children with the strokes they may be having difficulty with, which may be preventing them from moving up a level.
- Children may attend one week or multiple weeks.
- School Age levels include: Frogs, Seahorse, Stingray, Sealion, disabilities
Private lesson
Cost:
1 on 1: $305 (entire week)
2 on 1: $500 (entire week)
- These are available between 8 am – 12.00 (half hour classes)
- Our instructors will assist you in achieving individual goals.
- All abilities are catered for, children must be of school age.
- One on one private lessons or if requested a group private (for example a group of friends or family members) can be arranged. However, if students are of differing swimming ability we recommend that you book one on one private lessons for maximum benefit.
- Lessons for students with additional needs are also available.
Specialist clinic
Cost: $125 (entire week)
- Carnival Preparation (Diving, starts, turns and finishes)
- Freestyle/Backstroke
- Breaststroke/Butterfly
- One hour sessions to get children ready for the carnival season
- Specialising in block diving, turns, and finishes with stroke correction
- Students participating must be able to swim freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly without assistance

Private lessons and school age lessons: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
High level Privates (Seal and above swim level): 11:15 am - 11:45 am
Specialist clinics:
Carnival Preparation: 8:00 am - 9:00 am
Freestyle/Backstroke: 9:15 am - 10:15 am
Butterfly/Breaststroke: 10:15 am - 11:15 am
Terms and conditions
Parents/Caregivers who enrol their child into the diving clinic acknowledge the following:
- That the child participating in the program can swim at least 25m without assistance in a pool that is 3m – 5m deep.
- That the child will be in deep water (3m – 5m depth) and the coach will be out of the water during the clinic.
The Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre is an organisation that respects and is considerate of the individual’s right to privacy. The individual details required on this form will be used for administration purposes related to the facility or service for which it is being completed and for communicating information to you from the Centre regarding any of the Centres’ facilities, programs, services or promotions that are deemed appropriate to your interests and needs and which may enhance your use of the Centre. The Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre will not make this information available to any third party unless it is necessary as part of the provision of this product or service. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you are providing the Centre with consent to use your individual details for such purposes. Full details of the Privacy Policy.
Credits will only be issued under the following guidelines:
Credits are only considered for students who have incurred the following:
- Major illnesses/injury, COVID or hospitalisation
- Moving house or relocation (out of the 10km area)
Credits will not be granted for holidays.
Credits are calculated from the date the swim school office was notified of the cancellation.
Application for credit need to be submitted by the end of the holiday period.
Credit money will be credited to you to use for future programs.
An email must be sent to AquaticProgramsSupervisors@sopa.nsw.gov.au along with:
- Letter outlining the reason for the application and the number of sessions missed (Attention letter: Aquatic Programs Supervisor).
- Doctor’s certificate – required for all medical considerations, dates need to reflect number of sessions missed.
- Receipts
The Aquatic Programs Supervisor will approve each credit application and send a letter of confirmation.
Refunds will not be granted for cancellations.
Once your credit has been reviewed, a letter will be sent outlining the amount of credit the swim school is holding.
To make future bookings you will need to contact the swim school to go through available options. There is no guarantee of a future preferred position in any program.
Class occupancy is a major factor in determining whether or not a clinic will need to be cancelled. In the event that your chosen class is not 60% full, a Swim School staff member may contact you to offer you an alternative session or refund. All lessons cancellations are at the discretion of the Aquatic Programs Supervisor.
