Playground upgrades - Blaxland Riverside Park and Wentworth Common

Blaxland Riverside Park and Wentworth Common playgrounds at Sydney Olympic Park will undergo upgrade works to breathe new life into the area.

Works at Blaxland Riverside Park will include

  • New soft fall surface replacement
  • New synthetic turf replacement
  • Replacement of all umbrella shade structures
  • New shade areas 

Works at Wentworth Common will include:

  • New soft fall surface  
  • New swings replacement
  • New timber logs replacement
  • Replacement of all umbrella shade structures
  • New shade areas

Works will commence early May, and areas of the play areas will be unavailable for periods while works take place. All upgrades will be complete mid year. 

These works form part of an extensive program of $18M in improvement works taking place across sports venues and parkland areas at Sydney Olympic Park.

The works will breathe a new set of life into venues and assets bringing them back to first class and ensuring locals and visitors continue to play and enjoy the wonderful facilities and parklands at Sydney Olympic Park well into the future.
