Applications are now open for local musicians to celebrate the gift of music and perform as part of Make Music Day at Sydney Olympic Park on Friday 21 June.
Make Music Day at Sydney Olympic Park will feature amateur performances and a curated program featuring some of the best emerging local talent, and it's all free to enjoy for the community.
From 9am to 7pm Jacaranda Square at Sydney Olympic Park will come alive with a diverse mix of musical talent, including professional acts from Western Sydney's thriving contemporary music scene, and an open mic available for anyone keen for their five minutes of fame.
Local cafes and restaurants in the Park will get in on the act, providing a stage for musicians to showcase their talents throughout the day.
Train commuters will also be treated to live music as they travel between Sydney Olympic Park and Lidcombe, with musicians providing the soundtrack for their journey from 7.30am - 9.30am, and again from 3.30pm - 5.30pm.
Now in its second year, Make Music Day at Sydney Olympic Park is hosted by Sydney Olympic Park Authority in partnership with City of Parramatta Council, and is supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW.
