New turf is being installed at the main play area in Blaxland Riverside Park to make your visit to Sydney Olympic Park more enjoyable.
Work will include
Work will include removal of existing topsoil and degraded turf and installation of suitable underlay and laying of new turf.
What to expect
The playground will remain open however areas where the new turf is being laid will be fenced off. There will be truck movements through the site to distribute topsoil and turf. Deliveries and vehicle will have access at under 5 km per hour (walking pace) with a spotter engaged to access site.
Frequent watering will also occur until turf is established.
Location of works
Maintenance work will occur on the western turf plot adjacent Blaxland Riverside playground.
Hours of work
Work will take place on 6am - 6pm Monday to Friday from Thursday 13 October - Sunday 23 October. No weekend work is expected beyond irrigation testing.
This work is weather dependent and may need to change due to last minute disruptions.
