The 2018-19 NSW Budget will provide $15.6 million for extra bus services in areas where people need them the most, including an additional 60 services at Sydney Olympic Park.
Route 533 from Sydney Olympic Park to Chatswood via Wentworth Point will start operating during weekdays and on weekends, instead of only during peak periods.
In total more than 2000 extra bus services will be added to the Sydney bus network.
Minister for Transport Andrew Constance said in addition to delivering thousands of extra bus services, the NSW Government will purchase over 30 new buses and replace 400 buses.
“Around 20 of these new buses will cater for the increased demand in school services across the state,” Mr Constance said.
This welcome news will improve the connectivity and public transport options for people who live, work and play at Sydney Olympic Park.
