Western Sydney University begins an exciting new chapter at the Park
17 Feb 2017
Western Sydney University The College has opened its doors at Sydney Olympic Park this week, beginning a new chapter for the university and adding to the Park's existing offering for tertiary studies.
The College kicked off its program of English language courses for over 120 students from at least 20 different countries including Mongolia, Argentina, Cambodia, Japan and of course China.
As students attended their first orientation on Monday, there was a positive vibe in the Australia Ave building with students excited with the new facilities and the Park. Culture day will be held by The College for all teachers and students who are encouraged to wear national dress and participate in different cultural activities as they learn about life and activities in the Park.
The university will also run the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) at The College on Saturdays, which will attract 300 students on most weekends taking the test to measure the language proficiency for those wanting to study or work where English is used as a main language of communication.
Sydney Olympic Park Authority welcomes Western Sydney University The College, who joins the Australian College of Physical Education and SP Jain Global School of Management in providing high quality tertiary educational opportunities for local and international students.
