Car park shuttle trial begins

Bus at bus stop

09 Oct 2017

A new car park shuttle bus service to support the growing workforce has begun in Sydney Olympic Park.

Running during peak business hours, workers in Sydney Olympic Park can either walk to work or catch the shuttle transporting locals between P3 Car Park and Park Street in the heart of the town centre.

The service is being trialled by Sydney Olympic Park Authority and will run on a 15 minute frequency from 6.45am to 9.45am and again from 3.30pm to 6.30pm on business days only. This is a similar service to the Commonwealth Bank shuttles that have ceased operating.

The trial will run for six months, where the service will be reviewed and measured on its longer term viability and sustainability, as well as its effectiveness in meeting the needs of the growing Park community. Today, Sydney Olympic Park has a dynamic workforce of almost 19,000 people, forecast to grow over 34,000 by 2030.

Sydney Olympic Park Authority welcomes feedback from the community on the trial, which will assist in future planning. Feedback can be provided to enquiries@sopa.nsw.gov.au
