Construction of Pedestrian Refuge Island

City of Parramatta Council has advised of construction of a Pedestrian Refuge Island in Bennelong Parkway north of Bicentennial Drive, Sydney Olympic Park.

Preparatory works including survey set out; removal of trees and saw cutting has commenced this week and will continue to Wednesday 5 April. 

Construction will recommence after the Easter Show, on or about 20 April 2017, with construction of the islands and installation of lighting, and will take approximately 4 weeks to complete.

City of Parramatta Council is aware of the high volumes of traffic that use this road and will monitor traffic flow during the project.
