What We Do
Sydney Olympic Park Authority (the Authority) is responsible for promoting, coordinating and managing the orderly use and economic development of Sydney Olympic Park, including the provision and management of $1.8 billion of infrastructure.
This includes promoting, coordinating, organising, managing, undertaking, securing and conducting cultural, sporting, educational, commercial, tourist, recreational, entertainment and transport activities and facilities. The Authority is also charged with providing, operating and maintaining public transport facilities within the Park. The protection and enhancement of the natural and cultural heritage of the Park, particularly the parklands, is another key responsibility of the Authority.
In addition, the Authority continues to liaise with and maintain arrangements with Olympic organisations such as the International Olympic Committee and the Australian Olympic Committee Incorporated.
